  1. The IIR High Pass effect module filters the selected waveform using the following equation:

  3. y(n) = ax(n) - by(n-1),

  5. where y is the output and x is the input, and a and b are the two coefficients you can set in the settings dialog.

  7. When b is greater than a, the cutoff frequency is increased, therefore obtaining a highpass filter.
